Dorothy Huang, author of Dorothy Huang's Chinese Cooking, is Houston's premier Chinese cooking instructor. Although she is currently not teaching cooking classes thru us, you can find her great classes at the Central Market cooking school. Her classes have been featured in regional and national publications.

Discover the delights of Dim Sum (an assortment of dumplings and buns stuffed with meat, vegetables, seafood, or sweet paste) at a grand Chinese restaurant with Dorothy Huang to guide your selections. Following lunch, tour a Chinese shopping mall with stops at a variety of shops and a Chinese supermarket where Dorothy takes the mystery out of the market's products. Discover basic Chinese condiments and learn which staples to add to your pantry. Bring an appetite, a cooler for perishable market purchases, and a healthy dose of curiosity.
